people who are unapologetically kind and soft and good at their very core are like………so important to me. the era of broody white man antiheroes is over, give me someone who braids flowers into their hair and cooks breakfast for their mom every morning

Protesters from across St Louis turned up and turned out for the first St Louis County Council Meeting since Mike Brown’s Death. (Part II)

The St Louis County Council meeting was a fiery afar, as residents from across the county demanded Darren Wilson’s arrest, answers for Mike Brown’s death, and expressed frustration at their own police force being turned on them like they were enemies of the state. #staywoke #farfromover

I desperately need a word that means what “queer” means but has never been a slur so everyone can feel comfortable using it

do you feel me

Queer didn’t even really start out as a slur if I’m right. It was just a synonym for ‘weird’ or ‘odd’

Yeah, but calling non-cis, non-heterosexual people “weird” is still kinda demeaning in some contexts.

Oh yeah I see what you mean. I think it’s really sad that that queer became a slur towards non cis and gay and/or bi people instead of just a word. And this is coming from a straight cis guy and it’s still pretty upsetting

Like I was saying, in our country, with our resources and technology, no one needs to die or have an incredibly painful life because they “”“can’t afford it”“”
